Greg McFarland

Chairman

Greg was introduced to Ground Zero when he was recruited as a paddler for the GZ Dragon Boat Festival in a boat sponsored by his church, First Baptist Myrtle Beach. That experience must have energized Greg for the ministry, because he and his architectural firm soon came alongside GZ to help develop the venue. Greg is a partner with Pike-McFarland-Hall Associates.

“I’m an artist at heart,” says Greg. “I love the design and development of the constructed world, especially when I get to use my talents in creating places for worship and the fellowship of believers.” Both Greg and his company believe in the ministry of reaching teenagers in our community – and beyond – with the message of hope in Christ

When he’s not exercising his creative juices at his architect’s board, Greg enjoys hiking, wood working, and sports with his wife Stacy and their three young adult children. “My children have and continue to participate in GZ,” says Greg. “They have been uplifted as have many others. I want to keep that going.”
