Only the Young

Middle & High School Students

Wednesday, June 19th

6:30 – 8:30

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity
1 Timothy 4:12

There’s a superpower that only the young possess- from some students being able to survive off a diet of energy drinks and gummy candy to actually starting social movements and creating change in the world. But what happens to all of that power and possibility when it comes to faith? Does the church underestimate the power of the young? Does the church put too much pressure on their potential? In this series, we invite teens to explore three ideas: what it means to own their own faith, to set an irresistible example to everyone, and to invite the counsel of older, wiser leaders along for the journey. The high school years are a unique phase of life that makes us who we are as we discover who God wants us to be. These years go by fast, but they can be filled with intentionality that produces a deeply rooted faith that they’ll never want to forget they experienced.

THIS WEEK’S BOTTOM LINE:
We all need the wisdom of someone older.

GZi is a weekly experience where teenagers spend time with friends and mentors, grab dinner in Top Nosh, enjoy a coffee drink from the GZ Coffee Shop, engage in activities, interact with a live DJ, and hear from dynamic communicators about relevant issues they face. GZi is a place where every teenager can Go, Belong and Grow.
