The Center for Counseling and Wellness
The Center for Counseling is a Christian nonprofit out-patient mental health and addiction counseling center serving Horry County. They have a professional staff of 20 Master's level licensed counselors and social workers with specialties in play therapy, addictions, marital and family counseling, and trauma recovery and they are here to help deal with mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational issues. Our partnership with them includes designated counselors participating in our weekly outreach at Ground Zero to building relationships with students so if counseling services are needed, the relationship will already be in place. They will also train our volunteers on “Red Flags” in the lives of our teenagers and what to do when we notice those “Red Flags”. A great partnership to help our students and their families beyond their time at Ground Zero.
