This Week @ iGROW:
You’ve probably heard the story of Noah more than a few times, and you may have even seen the movie. Yet, how often do you take the time to stop and dwell on how Noah’s life foreshadowed a new covenant? While we will look at the overview of this story, you will really begin to understand how all of this connects to Christ. Through Noah’s line would come a man named Abraham, through Abraham’s line would come a King named David, and through his line would come the Messiah, Jesus. Long after Noah lived and died, we look at a rainbow and remember that God would never wipe out His people for their sins, but instead make a way to wipe out sin and restore our relationship with Him.
The Thread Overview
So many teenagers simply don’t have a grasp of the narrative of the Bible. Key characters. Key events. Few students understand how these elements fit into the story of God and His people. The Thread aims to change this. In The Thread you will learn what the Gospel is, and how it courses through the narrative of Scripture. Not only will you learn the story of the Bible, but you will see that it is a story of unfailing love, as God seeks the beginning of Creation to draw humankind to Him through the grace of the Gospel.
What is iGROW?
iGrow is a weekly experience that helps teenagers grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word while connecting with others on the same faith journey. Each teenager also has an opportunity to be in an iGroup, which are consistent, dedicated groups of teenagers that are led by caring adults. iGrow gives teenagers a chance to build safe relationships and navigate faith and life together. In addition, teenagers have opportunities to participate in outings to strengthen relationships throughout the year.
