iGROW

This Week @ iGROW:
This week is a turning point in your journey through the big-picture story of the Bible. You’ll be close to finishing up the Old Testament part of the story. The Old Testament definitely has its challenges for modern readers, but when you know the backstory, it makes Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection even more awesome. In this lesson, we’ll look at the story of Nehemiah, and through this story, we’ll get a glimpse at what it was like to try and rebuild Jerusalem. Nehemiah and the remnant of God’s people faced a major uphill battle with many emotional implications, but they recognized that this was the Lord’s will. They persevered and finally succeeded. We’ll also learn about the New Jerusalem God plans to usher in at the end of all time. It’s a very cool connection to make with one of the last chronological stories of the Old Testament.

The Thread Overview
So many teenagers simply don’t have a grasp of the narrative of the Bible. Key characters. Key events. Few students understand how these elements fit into the story of God and His people. The Thread aims to change this. In The Thread you will learn what the Gospel is, and how it courses through the narrative of Scripture. Not only will you learn the story of the Bible, but you will see that it is a story of unfailing love, as God seeks the beginning of Creation to draw humankind to Him through the grace of the Gospel.

What is iGROW?
iGrow is a weekly experience that helps teenagers grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word while connecting with others on the same faith journey. Each teenager also has an opportunity to be in an iGroup, which are consistent, dedicated groups of teenagers that are led by caring adults. iGrow gives teenagers a chance to build safe relationships and navigate faith and life together. In addition, teenagers have opportunities to participate in outings to strengthen relationships throughout the year.
