Ruth gives us a fascinating story in Scripture. Ruth isn’t a queen. She isn’t a noblewoman. Her story is so remarkably personal, intimate, and, well…normal. Maybe that’s one of the major appeals of Ruth’s story – that it feels like it could happen to anyone. But while Ruth may not be a queen, she was royal in one way: simple, devoted, ordinary, everyday Ruth found herself in the direct lineage of king David and Jesus, Himself. How she happened to find herself there is a beautiful picture of God’s grace and redemption.
The Thread Overview
So many teenagers simply don’t have a grasp of the narrative of the Bible. Key characters. Key events. Few students understand how these elements fit into the story of God and His people. The Thread aims to change this. In The Thread you will learn what the Gospel is, and how it courses through the narrative of Scripture. Not only will you learn the story of the Bible, but you will see that it is a story of unfailing love, as God seeks the beginning of Creation to draw humankind to Him through the grace of the Gospel.
What is iGROW?
iGrow is a weekly experience that helps teenagers grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word while connecting with others on the same faith journey. Each teenager also has an opportunity to be in an iGroup, which are consistent, dedicated groups of teenagers that are led by caring adults. iGrow gives teenagers a chance to build safe relationships and navigate faith and life together. In addition, teenagers have opportunities to participate in outings to strengthen relationships throughout the year.
