iGROW
This Week @ iGROW:
The history of God’s people is sometimes hard to watch. Over and over again, they blew it. Big time. (Now, before we judge them, if we were in their shoes, you can bet we’d have a similar track record.) But despite their crummy track record, God still worked through His people. Why? Because God’s plan couldn’t be thwarted by the sin of His people. This is the first lesson in Part 2 of The Thread. In Part 2, we’ll learn the story of Israel establishing itself as a nation. In this lesson, you’ll be introduced to the judges of Israel. We’ll highlight the cycle the people underwent as they grew as a nation, a cycle that included turning their backs on God. But we’ll also see how the Israelites' failure only highlighted the need for a Redeemer and for getting the message of that Redeemer to the world.
The Thread Overview
So many teenagers simply don’t have a grasp of the narrative of the Bible. Key characters. Key events. Few students understand how these elements fit into the story of God and His people. The Thread aims to change this. In The Thread you will learn what the Gospel is, and how it courses through the narrative of Scripture. Not only will you learn the story of the Bible, but you will see that it is a story of unfailing love, as God seeks the beginning of Creation to draw humankind to Him through the grace of the Gospel.
What is iGROW?
iGrow is a weekly experience that helps teenagers grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word while connecting with others on the same faith journey. Each teenager also has an opportunity to be in an iGroup, which are consistent, dedicated groups of teenagers that are led by caring adults. iGrow gives teenagers a chance to build safe relationships and navigate faith and life together. In addition, teenagers have opportunities to participate in outings to strengthen relationships throughout the year.
