GZi

Middle & High School Students

Wednesday, April 19

6:30 – 8:30

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. ”

PSALM 34:18

Bullying is a big problem. Research shows that about 1 in 5 students aged 12 to 18 experience bullying. That’s a couple of kids in every small group, a handful in many student ministries, and dozens to hundreds at every high school. Because Jesus elevated the value of every human, we need to turn the volume up on the way we think and talk about bullying. In this one-week standalone talk, we’ll focus on the one thing that can change our behavior and begin to solve the big problem that is bullying: seeing the value in everyone. Whether a student is being bullied or behaving like a bully, this conversation will raise the bar for the value they see in themselves and other people.

THIS WEEK’S BOTTOM LINE:

Choose hope today and life tomorrow.

GZi is a weekly experience where teenagers spend time with friends and mentors, grab dinner in Top Nosh, enjoy a coffee drink from the GZ Coffee Shop, engage in activities, interact with a live DJ, and hear from dynamic communicators about relevant issues they face. GZi is a place where every teenager can Go, Belong and Grow.
