Scott Payseur

President

Scott’s experience in youth ministry spans nearly three decades, dating back to a call from God “to see teenagers come alive for Christ.” That’s why he and his wife Kimberly founded Ground Zero in 1998.

As president, Scott oversees all aspects of the ministry. His passion is encouraging his staff, youth workers, speakers, bands, and volunteers so together they can plan events that challenge teenagers to grow or start a relationship with Jesus Christ. Scott and Kimberly’s three children all are all involved in Ground Zero too. As a family, they worship at Newspring.

As for his spare time, it used to be that Scott loved snow skiing. Maybe he got hooked thanks to the hills near his hometown of Lincolnton, NC. Or it could have been the mountains of eastern TN where he served as a youth pastor. Scott still loves snow skiing. But since Myrtle Beach doesn’t have mountains, he has embraced camping in its place.
